Béla Gábor, p/k/a Belocca is a diamond in the rough. He grew up close to Budapest together with Workidz, with whom he soon discovered electronic music. At the age of 16 they signed their first-ever record deal and shortly after found themselves in a professional recording studio in Germany for the first time. Not much later they started Sauna Records together with their release “Plastic Fantastic” topping many international dance charts at the time. With Belocca ticking the essence of house music and groove box, his tracks and remixes have become favorites with many big DJ’s over the years, like: Umek, Mark Knight, Pleasurekraft, Roger Sanchez, Sven Vãth, Luciano, just to name a few….

The actual name Belocca wasn’t born until 2000, when he began working together with his friends: Soneec, Lauer & Canard and Muzzaik, producing a string of successful twelves. The big breakthrough came in 2007 with Belocca’s remix on “The Nightcrawlers – Push The Feeling On”. This sizzling remix got picked up by no other then Roger Sanchez, who released it on his own Stealth Records imprint. It hit the #1 spot on the Beatport Top 100  in a blink and was also one of the biggest compiling dance records of that year. In 2009, Beatport even elected him one of the most promising new House artist! Now, after producing records for over 15 years, his sound, look and feel are still the same. True to himself, the scene and his musical friends ; a basis of (tech) house with flirts towards techno, future house and garage.

Such an extensive and nourished career resulted in releases and remixes through many labels such as: 1605, Great Stuff, Toolroom, 100% Pure, Kraftek, Hotfingers, Protocol, Yoshitoshi, Stealth Records, Spinnin’, Purple Music, Star 69, Peppermint Jam, Nervous, Stereo, Black Hole, Kontor and many more.

Aside from being an amazing producer, Belocca is also a fabulous DJ. His sets have carved his signature sound in many musical hearts and gradually landed him an international DJ career playing big clubs and festivals all over the world. Toolroom Knights gigs in Ministry Of Sound, Stealth Records nights in Munich, Amsterdam and Barcelona, the Sunrise Festival in Poland, Fantastic Festival in Mexico, Soulvision Festival in Brazil, Boothstock Festival in Holland and club gigs in Mexico, Canada, Russia, Spain, South-Africa and Indonesia.

Furthermore, in 2011, together with a longtime partner in crime Soneec, they were honoured to compile and mix an edition of the highly acclaimed “Leaders Of The New School” compilation series for Toolroom Records.

As of 2012 Belocca runs his own imprint Mainground Music. First release ft. Soneec, called Chupakamrashot all the way up to #11 in the Beatport tech-house chart, shortly followed Way Of Thinking and the killer cut Back To The Old School , which remained in the Beatport tech-house chart for 4 months, as well as Depends On You which remained in the Beatport top 10 for three months! Also tracks such as Ghost Trainand more recently My Lovin’, My Love Don’t Need No Money and Snare Machine are right on the money! The label will continue to release most of Belocca’s new tunes and tracks from Hungarian talents with Belocca’s unique A&R vision: It’s not mainstream, not underground, but Mainground Music!

Mark Knight quotes: What makes a great producer is being able to define your own sound and that is exactly what Belocca  has done over the  last 10 years with constantly brilliant releases. Both myself and Toolroom are massive fans and are proud to have him as part of our label.

Pleasurekraft quotesEver since I first discovered Belocca’s work, which was originally the “All My Life” remix he did, his productions have always found a place in my sets. It was for this reason I wanted to collaborate on a track with him and was so happy with the result: “Murdered Out”. His musical sensibility is incredible and he simply understands how dance floors works. I’m always excited when I receive new promos from him as he is one of my favorite producers.
